Workforce Language Services helps bridge the language and culture gap in the workplace with customized onsite training programs – facilitated in English, Spanish or bilingual format – including:

  • Occupational Spanish training
  • Workplace English as a Second Language training
  • Diversity/cross-cultural training
  • Leadership training
  • Leadership skills for leaders of Latino employees
  • Supervisor development
  • Harassment prevention

Clients include national brands such as Kraft, Yum! Brands, Marriott, Orbitz, Così and Blue Cross Blue Shield, as well as small businesses, not-for-profits and government agencies.

Workforce Language Services was founded by Dr. Jill Bishop, a linguistic anthropologist who has taught around the world and has researched, written and lectured extensively on the subject of language, culture and identity.  She has been a panelist at the National Restaurant Association Restaurant Show (Recruiting Multiculutural Talent), Workforce Boards of Metropolitan Chicago’s Workforce Summit (Making Diversity an Asset), International Foodservice Manufacturer’s COEX conference (Leveraging Your Latino Workforce) and multi-year presenter at the Illinois Society for Human Resources annual conference (Barriers to Bridges: Improving Communication with your Spanish-Speaking Staff).

For questions about how Workforce Language Services can help your organization, contact Jill at: jill.bishop@hispanictrending.net.

About this Website

  • Hispanic Trending focuses on the United States Latino Market. It features news and commentaries related to Hispanic Marketing and Advertising, as well as links to, in my opinion, the most relevant Hispanic sites, organized by categories. Hopefully all these resources will enrich your understanding of this growing segment of the U.S. population.
