Watch out for EXA on your FM dial
Last week I was invited to be one of the speakers at EXA's Convención Creativa 2005, one of the networks owned by Mexico's MVS Radio, with stations in several US cities along the border, Mexico, Central and South America.
Man, was I impressed... They have a great management team, and their personnel, at every level: sales, programming, and production, was top of the line. I mean, these guys know what they are doing and they are very passionate about it.
One of their Texas stations, XHPX-FM in El Paso, had a big jump in ratings once it changed into the EXA format (Spanish CHR with a touch of Inglés), from a 1.1 to a 1.7, persons 12+, and the latest trends shows that they keep on growing.
MVS Radio has plans to aggresively tap into the US Hispanic Market... You heard it here first: They will be a major player in Spanish Radio.

I love this blog, interesting collection of newsletters.
