Tales of a Recent Immigrant
Laura Martinez, editor of Adweek's Marketing y Medios, honored me with an invitation to write an article for the February, 2005 issue of her magazine, which by the way has been selected as a finalist in the 51st annual Jesse H. Neal National Business Journalism Awards Competition in the category of best start-up publication.
The title of this post is the same as that of the article; I invite you to check it online or on the print edition.
I hope you enjoy it and will greatly appreciate your feedback.

Nice article. I can relate totally with it. Although, my experience is different in the fact that I was much younger as I migrated to the US. Those first years can really be challanging.
But, one thing, in retrospect, this experience only helped me to grow as a person. I learned to get to know myself and to open those hidden windows, which one seems to be oblivious to when living in the place you were born.
From little things like how to relate to people to learning there are many other ways to do things, than just your own way, living in a country like the US can be for the better.

Woohoo!
Congratulations J.G. Way to go.
You know the first thing I did when I came to USA? Applied for a secured credit card to start building a decent credit history.
